We know we should drink of plenty water to hydrate before a ride but a pre-ride coffee has plenty of benefits too. The caffeine helps to burn fat during exercise. It also enhances the rate at which the body uses or burns energy (metabolic rate). Added benefits are enhanced performance (ride longer), improved concentration and reduced muscle pain.

So there's no need for expensive packaged powders that have a bitter taste. Heat up the coffee pot and enjoy a warm coffee before your ride instead. Just leave out the milk and sugar, you can always save those for your post ride brew.
